Lack of Sun vitamin
Did you know that during the short winter days, the sun’s rays come in at too oblique an angle to spur the skin to make vitamin D (known also as Sun vitamin).
Vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium, helping to form and maintain strong bones. It promotes bone mineralization in concert with a number of other vitamins, minerals, and hormones. Without vitamin D, bones can become thin, brittle, soft, or misshapen.
To be honest, I feel like the Sun was never there at all - and I really miss the vitamin D and its source (despite the nice Sunrise this morning). And although vitamin D occurs naturally in salmon, tuna and other oily fish, I am just tired of the constant rain, overcast sky, darkness and cold…
Anyway, catch some sunshine and take vitamins.
I guess I am having fish for lunch today :)
