There aren’t too many people in the world that would say they don’t care about food, eating and drinking. However, I probably wouldn’t be mistaken to say, that majority still don’t pay much of attention to what they eat. But I won’t be preaching about the importance to eat healthy and diversely.
I work in very large institution, and we have our own catering service, which is very good as we don’t need too much time to have a proper and sometimes even pretty tasty lunch. However, the looks of the food and the manner in which the lady behind the counter puts your lunch on the plate could frequently be compared with bad American prison movies… We just don’t have those special trays to separate the green stuff from the brown stuff.
So, right, I am talking about the looks of your food, the beauty of it if you wish.
In my opinion, to fully enjoy and appreciate your dinner you must consider three factors - scent, taste and looks. In cases all three are satisfactory, you are more likely to like the food. Well, ok, Camembert probably wouldn’t be the same if it smelled like a rose garden…
My wife is a brilliant cook. Most of the times our dinner has all three key components to be considered pleasurable, so several evenings ago I took a picture of my dinner before it disappears… And then the next evening again, and the next. So, this is how it started - our own food blog. Check it out: http://dineathome.tumblr.com/
No moral behind it, just pictures of good looking and tasty food :)
